Repository of Ready-Made Regions and Countries #
The repository is a shared catalogue of ready-made boundaries stored on the ENTOMONE server. Search and preview use stored copies, so ENTOMONE does not have to download the same boundary from OpenStreetMap each time. It is separate from your private Region Library.
- Open Regions and click the Repository button.
- A separate catalogue page opens with its contents already visible.
- Click Preview on map beside an entry to open its boundary in the editor.
- Check the type, source, retrieval date, version and scope/precision notes.
- Inspect the automatically opened preview, then click Load boundary.
- Enter your own name and submit the form to save a private copy.
No name or Search action is required to browse the list.

| Catalogue additions and updates | Explicit submission of an owned Region and controlled publication |
The initial catalogue contains Poland, Greece, Bulgaria, Czechia, Slovakia, Ukraine and Roztocze. It is a growing collection, not a complete global index. At most 50 matches are shown; use the result count to decide whether to refine your search.
Country outlines come from OpenStreetMap and are lightly simplified so that they display efficiently on the map. They are not legal boundary determinations. For records very close to a boundary, consult a more detailed source. Roztocze follows an OSM boundary, without guaranteeing agreement with Kondracki's regionalisation or complete cross-border coverage. Source: OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL 1.0.
Repository updates never change Regions already saved by users. If the catalogue changes between search and preview, repeat the search. Private Regions are not automatically published. KFP, protected UTM grids and GDOŚ regionalisation are outside this release.

immediately; submissions from other users wait for review.
Publishing a boundary does not share the owner's records, Databases, photos or other data. Later edits to the private Region do not alter the published version; a new version must be submitted separately.
The iNaturalist search accepts a place name, its numeric ID, a /places/ID link, or an observations link containing the place_id parameter. Name search uses iNaturalist autocomplete. A newly created place may appear after a short delay; ENTOMONE caches such results for no longer than 5 minutes.
